Let’s discuss creativity and what inspires you, are you in? I feel like I have been all over the place lately creativity wise, and can’t really focus on what I’m doing. This usually happens when I’ve lost track of things and haven’t really stopped to take a breath, go back and refer to style guides, or my personal process work and projects. So, luckily, I got this great assignment from a course that I’m taking that required me to create a moodboard.

Basically, I had to step away from anything digital and physically make an inspiration board that best defines my style and things I want to cover on my blog. I have created many moodboards before but not recently. This forced me to take some time off whatever I was doing and really think about, organize and categorize images, doodles, really anything that interests me and that I feel passionate about. I love making things with my hands but I haven’t really had the time lately, and this was a nice little break for me.

I think that it’s important to do something like this every once a while to keep yourself updated and organized because you are always progressing and evolving, and things that inspired you last year or last month might not be doing it for you anymore. Do you have an inspiration board or something like that you refer to? What inspires you to keep going? And how do you define your style? I’d love to hear YOUR interests and inspiration.

I love your inspiration board. It’s got a dreamy quality to it, and I like several of the interior shots you included, such as the pale blue wall with the array of framed art on it.

Wow, your mood board is just lovely! The colors and the images…everything is so serene and cohesive. It’s so fun seeing everyone’s mood boards :) See you in class!

Thank you! Don’t feel insecure about yours, it’s beautiful! And the most important thing is that it’s unique to you and filled with what inspires you :) And you are right, we are all learning along the way and that’s what is so exciting!

  5. This is gorgeous! I had so much fun playing with this project too. Now that I am looking at everyone else’s I am feeling a bit insecure about mine! Oh well! It’s all about learning along the way, right?
