Exquisite, delicate and ornate is the work of graphic designer, book binder, and illustrator Cecilia Levy. Papier maché in beautiful form, stunning bowls in organic round shapes and touches of elegant typography. Talented artist Cecilia Levy lives and works in Sigtuna, Sweden, and has a passion for exploring creativity through a variation materials and techniques.
With a MFA in Graphic Design, Cecilia has worked as a graphic design and bookbinding teacher and holds several workshops in and around Sweden. Her art is exhibited in solo and group shows in Sweden and abroad. So enchanting that these beauties are made of paper. I marvel at the patience, technique and vision required to create these pretty pretty pieces of art.

Florals, geometrics and ethnic patterns merge into a bold, bright and distinct blue, orange, yellow and black palette in tidy printed separates, shifts, shirtdresses and cropped high-waisted pants. A blend of rich, heavy fabrics and light, loose material are featured prominently for a gorgeous medley of items. The season’s fascination with volume mirrored in the bright solid-colored one-shouldered pieces with one large puff sleeve offered a strong, simple and stunning statement, was perhaps the most charming of all.

Semi-transparent and featherlight, couldn’t possibly choose between the array of beautiful things from this spring collection, in powdery neutral make up tones and purely romantic sensibilities that are impossible to resist. A delicate, soft palette of mousseline, stunning elegant draped silk chiffon and flows characterize this glamorous collection from Mendel. Complete with exquisite hand-pleating and ruching, to own one of these beauties would be a dream.
