Happy Monday! A new week and many things to look forward to, an astonishingly beautiful autumn so far, and it’s leopard prints and warm wools paired with tan oxfords, a perfect mix of comfort and refined; & this weekend was more work than play, but {finally} managed a visit to the galleries in chelsea followed by the most irresistible vanilla & red velvet cupcakes and a late-night movie in the background while working on a project.

Have admired london-based designer coralie bickford-smith’s gorgeous work for quite some time and even more after recently seeing the book covers for the penguin great food series, which bring “the finest food writing from the last 400 years”; so elegantly designed and illustrated with pretty lettering, featuring beautiful ceramics particular to each book according to the period and necessary utensils.

Tina Steele Lindsey, Atlanta-based artist with a focus on realism and abstraction, paints to the sweet music of the violin in the background, which greatly influences the beautiful soft palette of her work and light brushstrokes – blushing rose, teal, mustard, lemon chiffon and mint – evoke the sense of morning light and dusky sunsets, using walnut oil and acrylics that would look so wonderful against white living room walls.

Spent a few moments browsing and online shopping this afternoon, and instantly fell head over heels for the enchanting suede coat with fur trim collar, silk chiffon and delicate sheer blouses, black purse and metal scallop necklace of vintage shop victorious youth; in beautiful camel, white and dark salmon hues so perfect for winter, elegantly styled and layered with cashmere cardigans and wool scarves.
