A beautiful sea of crisp whites and glamorous french accents, stunning brass chandeliers, ornate crystal mirrors and little elements of perfectly worn structures – this flawless combination of french and scandinavian décor is like a dream, with floods of light, a pretty mix of dark hardwood and beautiful island stone floors, can not think of a lovelier place to entertain or just lounge about.

Monday, monday & hello! Hope you had a perfectly lovely weekend — and it’s a cup of coffee and dreaming, dreaming of this enchanting hotel in the south of france, impassioned hôtel particulier (an urban “private house” of a grand sort, or a very grand town house) that promises idyllic afternoons in the fresh country air in beautiful jardins, filled with tufted chaises, ornate gilded frames and hues of welcoming white, white.

If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ll know about a certain passion for travel, and certainly at this time of year, with thoughts and plans of summer getaways and escapes, one of the loveliest places in the world is versailles – so luxe and positively filled with history, it nearly overwhelms – where the rest of the world seems to fall away at the sight of perfectly ornate chandeliers, the majestic hall of mirrors and the appartements privés de marie antoinette / private apartments of marie antoinette.

A beautiful new week, and falling in love with the stunningly beautiful beirut and paris homes of fashion designer elie saab, designed by architect chakib richani, both utterly filled with an enchanting mix of beautiful things – of elegance and opulent masculinity, perfectly symmetrical, contemporary and classical – empire-style crystal chandeliers, four-post beds and spectacularly over-sized blossoming branches and best of all, ornate bone inlay mother of pearl furniture.
