Only a few days away and it has proven a little more difficult than anticipated to get back into the swing of things after a lovely trip to new york, a few deadlines, meetings, interviews, and dinner reservations with friends, perhaps a little repose in a few glimpses of the time spent away.

Through the beautiful flurry of everyday things, busy hours, applications and interviews – it felt as if it were only a moment ago we were celebrating the holidays and the new year, now the beginning of a new month; and it’s off to new york for a few days.

While often drawn to maximalist decor, was quite surprised when could not possibly resist the unadorned walls and clean, modern lines of giorgio armani’s refined manhattan apartment. Completely falling for its perfect mix of ease and elegance, combining early-modern and complementary contemporary pieces, designed for the body’s comfort, similar to armani fashion.

Monday comes in shades of pale and dusky taupe, and even while there are overcast skies, afternoons are becoming wonderfully bright, and evenings are beginning to arrive a little later — there is the warmth of these elegant and graceful hues; whether in perfectly messy sheets, parisian architecture, feather clutches or rosette-embellished silk dresses, shall always and forever adore deliriously lovely tones of pale taupe.

Completely whisked away by the grandeur and light of quite possibly the most romantic ever, katie lee’s four-story 4000 sq ft manhattan townhouse, including 3/4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 4 fireplaces, an elevator, and a landscaped garden. In 2006, totally renovated by architect Ahmad Sardar-Afkami and decorated by Nate Berkus, utterly filled with a charming mix of old world glamour and modern furniture, with perfectly elegant details as gilded mirrors, antiqued gold-leafing, gold velvet, glittering chandeliers, a perfectly polished mirrored dresser, and match-booked marble detailing.
