Summer is flying past at an astonishing pace & the last weekend in dubai already, and cannot grasp how it has arrived so quickly; and while trying to hold on to every last moment, have been spending hot, sunny afternoons at the beach and evenings dashing about, and august always seems to have the most beautiful skies.

Just yesterday, whisked away to the city of beirut, as usually do once every summer with my sister patricia to visit dearest family and to spend a few hot, sunny days in this captivating place, known for the most exhilarating nightlife, boundless mountains and blue seas and artisan fashion; & already, leisurely lunches on the terrace with the most magnificent views overlooking grand villas with red bricked rooftops and infinite seas of green.

Lounging by the seine or traipsing about the city, sidewalk cafés at the champs élysées or browsing the shops, & the most astonishing glow reflecting from opera houses, museums and galleries lining the city in the softest glare of gold – shall never tire of the enchantment of all the magical places, the charm and glow of gilded sculptures and cobblestone streets, ornate architecture and pretty charcoal rooftops, and the most magnificent of all, the incredible romance of paris.

There is such excitement for the charm of sky high palm trees and crashing waves, long vacations and trips to the beach, sun-kissed skin and perfectly effortless summer style; for high waisted skirts and jersey dresses, bare shoulders and sexy city shorts, and always, a certain and undying love for summer afternoons spent luxuriously lounging about together at the beach, with a cocktail or two, as sunny days turn into the most romantic starry nights.

The most beautiful day and there are exciting plans to be outdoors on a patio with pitchers of sangria and the best of friends; thoughts are drifting away to summer things and the most enticing travel destinations, the mediterranean always a favorite – with blue seas, beach dresses, ripple sand, margaritas on the shore and starry nights, could there be anything lovelier?
